13 MOVIES I WATCHED WITHOUT CONTEXT AND LOVED

Trailers are becoming more like short films than the visual amuse bouche they are meant to be. So every once in a while I’ll pick a film based on the poster alone. I won’t read the synopsis, or the tag line. I will check the genre to make sure I’m not watching any horror films, those I like to know what I’m signing up for.

In the early days of Netflix streaming when they didn’t have the trailers or those little preview clips, it was refreshing to discover a movie by chance. Kinda like crate diving in a record store.

The following are movies that I enjoyed through this exercise. I encourage you to not look up the trailers. However, please note that some of these films may deal with triggering, sexual, and/or offensive themes. Watch at your own discretion?

On The Edge (2001

Breakfast on Pluto (2005)

The Wonderful World of Walter Mitty (2013)

Ask me Anything (2014)

One Week (2008)

Le Secret De ma Mère (2006)

Jeune & Jolie (2013)

Sexual CHRONICLES of a French Family(2012)

The Little Death (2014)

The Substitute (2007)
