OFF TO BERLIN!

Dear Caroline,

It’s today! I’m flying off to Berlin, Germany. I’m writing this as I wait for boarding in the Austin Airport. Wonder Woman is here keeping me company while I got us some Starbucks. It is summer (in Toronto terms) right now in Austin, so we opted for the Peach Green Tea, very refreshing.

After we found out gate Delta/KLM told us that our flight would be delayed, and I’m already very early for a 6pm flight (it’s 3pm). We had to find something to do to pass the time.

WW got herself a massage while I work on the site and plan some must sees in Berlin. There’s so much to do there, it is quite overwhelming, I hope I have time to see it all.

As I was packing up the books I couldn’t let go of back in Toronto, I found On the Road by Jack Kerouac. It’s funny how sometimes things find their way to you when you need them. I don’t know when I picked it up but the receipt inside says 2017. At that time I was collecting books I was meant read in high school, and thought I’d give them a try now that I was older. On the Road is based on the travels of Kerouac and his friends across the United States. Many give it as a gift to those going on a new adventure. I’m taking it as a sign from my 2017 self to take this book along on my European adventure. WW like to read it seems, she’s deep into this book.

I should get myself ready to board, they’ve already stared to pre-board. Next time you’ll hear from me I’ll be in the land of schnitzel and classical music!
