PASTA E TIRAMISU TAKE TWO

Dear Caroline

It took a little convincing, actually none, but Catherine is joining the pasta cooking class. It’s at a different restaurant than the last, this one is in Trastevere, the food district of Rome. We had so much FUN!! This place is super nice and the instructor was super cool. Best pasta class yet! We made two types of pasta, tagliatelle and maletaglia. No tiramisu this time but that’s ok. The prepared the pastas to our preference then we were given coffee and limoncello.

After all was said and done Catherine and I were not ready to call it a night and we wanted something sweet. Some of the other girls joined us and we all walked back to Piazza Navona where we went to Two Sizes for a tiramisu and enjoyed it in the piazza, not before we stopped on the bridge to take some gorgeous pictures of the sunset.

Fun fact: did you know that the word Tiramisù literally means “pick me up”. It comes from the Treviso dialect, “Tireme su”, Italianised into Tiramisù in the latter half of the 20th century.

We sat and talked and sang in the piazza, Rome is very enjoyable at night. We tried to find some karaoke but the place we found was a little sketchy and it was going to be a long weekend so we had plenty of time to do karaoke.

I’m so happy I found this group of ladies we had a blast!
